Today we are going to try to get up a couple more sections of Pert tubing for the radiant floor system. Plus move our room to our new room - I got the block walls painted last night (and my wrist is feeling it).
Brian's at the dentist, so I'm going to take a few minutes and start attempting to make a piece of Oilcloth. What I've read on line calls for canvas or linen, but I'm going to try it with a piece of plain old cotton - in fact a fat quarter that I bought for something and then it got lost in the sock basket after being laundered. Maybe the fact that it got lost and I didn't go hunting it is a sign that I should stop buying fabric just because it is pretty, without a specific project in mind.
Anyway - off I go before Brian's back from the dentist.

Boy Bracelets for Titus
I got this idea off of another blog. Now I can't find the blog. Anyway - it used a thrift store belt and heavy duty snaps. I used fabric and medium snaps. Tito liked it (though now I have no idea where he put them).
Above is the braided one that I made too big for his wrist - it became an ankle bracelet.
These are basically double fold tape, zig-zagged all the way around and then a snap to close. Really quick and easy. And boy - beats him wearing rubber bands all the time.
The Second Skirt
I'm not sure I have a picture of the first skirt I made - but I like this one so much better, I'm not so sure I even care. The pattern is from "Sewing Clothes Kids Love" and I LOVE the book and patterns!

Monday Yarn Order
I just placed a large order with Knit Picks. I bought 2 magazines yesterday at Wal-Mart that have some really neat patterns. I ordered yarn to make a dress and bolero for Isabele. The big sweater that I really want to make, I didn't order yarn for. Next order maybe. Brian left for work this morning and won't be back till Wednesday evening. I've got lots of typing to do and lots of knitting. I'm going to start a headband in the 1skein sock yarn book with some yarn I bought to make a shawl (that I'm probably never going to finish as I really have to think to work on it and life isn't conducive to that right now). I have a couple of books on tape that I want to listen to. Wish I didn't have to type, but that is what makes the extra money to buy yarn, so type I must.
Oh, I also ordered a ball winder. $20, and I love the look of the balls wound that way. I've been using Lauri's but it is old and I want one at home that is mine.
Enough. I have much to do.

Here's the yarn that arrived the other day.
Wool of the Andes - 4 different weights. All feltable...
Something soft and sweet - this is alpaca and silk - not sure what I"m going to make with it.
A purse that I have the pattern for.

Pixie Bonnet
I just finished this last night. Started it on Friday night. So it took me 24 hours. It's all leftovers. I ran out of the darker blue, so found the light blue at mom's. It matches the light flecks in the dark blue. We decided that seed stitch for the rest of it would look dumb since I had to switch colors, so I finished it in stockinette. The brown ribbon is on it's second life. The first life was tied to the bird feeder for my fall decorating. This one is supposed to be infant size. WRONG!! It fits Isabele at age 2. Guess it's more of a 1-2 year old size. Just checked the guage on the finished hat. Supposed to be 20 sts and 24 rows for 4 inches. Mine is 20 sts and 20 rows. So that would make it a little bigger...
Anyway - here are the pictures. It was fun to make.
I must remember to always crochet seams together. It looks so much better. Just slip-stitch in every stitch to be joined.

Little crocheted flower on the side to tie the two colors together.
